Original 1950s Vintage, Wrist Corsages, Love and Laughter…Well hello, and

top of the morning to you! I know that many of you will have already returned to work, but for most, today is the first working day back in the UK after the Christmas break.  Same here! I simply had to kick start the working with and 2012 with a wedding that epitomises the very essence of Love My Dress; glamorous, beautiful and elegant.   This wedding was submitted by the amazing Scottish wedding photography duo, Mirrorbox Photography. I love so much about these images, the colour that pops, those smiles, the way that Mirrorbox have captured all those perfect moments – laughter and smiles, not to mention those wrist corsages!

Kelly’s Blog. www.welshkelly.wordpress.com

Our singer, Kelly, is also a writer. She writes a blog about the weird and wonderful things that happen to her from acting jobs to auditions to gigs. The blog was featured previously in the London Metro newspaper. Please note though that Kelly never blogs about private gigs so if you’ve hired us, don’t panic! She won’t make you infamous in cyber space – unless you want to be…

Kelly and the Sensations Road Trip to Wales.

We will be packing our little rucksacks and squeezing ourselves and our instruments into a minibus for the six hour journey to Wales this weekend. Kelly has been invited back to her home town of Neath in South Wales to perform at a Charity Function for HEAL AFRICA. As the boys in the band are all suckers for a good cause they’ve agreed to travel down and play for free in the hope that a nice sum of money will be made. Alcohol has also been promised…

HEAL AFRICA provides much needed health and education provisions for women and children in Africa. If any of you saw Ross Kemp Extreme World in the Congo you will know how vital this is.

Ticket price will include a lovely buffet (hog roast out in the barn is the most popular option at the minute!), a performance by SOLAR DANCE (Britain’s Got Talent), two hours of live music by Kelly and the Sensations and a disco by DJ Rickard. There will be raffles etc on the night to make extra money for the Charity. We have kept ticket prices as low as possible. Tickets are £12.50 for adults and £8 for children. Children performing with SOLAR DANCE will not be charged. There are a limited number of tickets and my sister hopes to generate a great deal of interest in the event so I suggest you book as soon as possible! You can book tickets via our website www.kellyandthesensations.com

Kelly and the Sensations Crowned As You Like It’s #1 Resident Band

As You Like It bar and restaurant is a relaxed, opulent and roomy space boasting an appealing collection of mix and match furniture pieces, huge chandeliers and extravagant curtains. This eclectic, modern-meets-vintage vibe was one of the reasons we chose the venue to host our first swishing event.

The other reason was the chain’s commitment to using locally grown vegetables, organic where possible, for its menu. Light and airy, it’s a great place to have a business lunch. Spread across an enormous round table, the Daisy Green team tucked into spicy butternut squash soup (yummy), pork sandwiches (the plate was cleared), and a cheddar and celeriac coleslaw sandwich (generous and tasty). The food came fast and the staff were friendly and attentive (just one waste-saving tip for the management – we don’t need a disposable napkin with each drink, and our meal and our cutlery thanks).

As You Like It is also a great place for a family meal. Children are welcomed and 10 per cent of the proceeds from every child’s meal bought is shared between the local Sunshine Fund, Tiny Lives and the NSPCC.

Kelly and the Sensations dates can be found either on our gig page or our facebook fan page. Please ‘Like’ us to be kept up to date with all the latest news.
